The Republic of San Magnolia has fought against the Giadian Empire for many years. The battle involves the use of autonomous drones from the Empire’s Legion, countered by the Republic’s unmanned weapons, leading to a supposed absence of casualties. However, the Eighty-Sixth Sector exists beyond the Republic’s fortified walls and is branded as “nonexistent.” Young individuals from this area are known as the Eighty-Six and are forced to pilot supposedly unmanned weapons into battle with their humanity stripped away.
